"A real treat for the body, mind and soul"
Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Sussex down land, Chilloutretreats ran their maiden voyage into a weekend world of body balancing yoga, core strengthening pilates and mindful meditations.
Natalie, The founder of Chilloutretreats said “ I chose Sussex for it’s beautiful location, stunning scenery and serene energies that can be felt around the ancient trees, downlands and wide open spaces”.
Over the weekend they provided a calm, inspiring and relaxed environment in which their classes and workshops ran. On the Friday, the weather took a turn for the worst, so the yoga and meditation sessions were held in the large, airy lounge space, with the only distraction being the bookshelf of wonderful and insightful reads. Each a temptation of litary delights.
As Saturday broke a new dawn, so to the clouds parted and the glory of the Sussex grounds came into its own. There is nothing more invigorating and restorative as taking part in healthy ventures outdoors in the fresh countryside air.
As one guest observed “I feel so alive and clear headed, It really is a wonderful place”.
In the unique comfort of the retreat, guests were also treated to onsite holistic Spa treatments where they were able to choose from a wide range of therapies from calming aromatherapy massage to relaxing reflexology.
It was during the walking meditation session in the late afternoon sun that the renewal of energies and restorative vibes could truly be felt. The stone circle stood proud and strong, as each person walked mindfully through and around the stones. Originally from Wales, the stones undoubtedly hold a certain magic that added to the serene atmosphere that was experienced by all. It’s not until you move and work around the stones that they reciprocate and move and work with you too.
The remainder of the retreat ran smoothly and effortlessly, May, of Nash Manor said “it doesn’t surprise me at all. The energies on retreat soon get to work and people are often amazed at how stress free and fluid things do become”. Natalie said “Having the chillout team help over the weekend was a great asset to the retreat and meant that myself and the other tutors could concentrate on doing what we do best, providing top quality yoga, therapies and workshops”.
Chilloutretreats next weekend retreats are now in East and west Sussex, which look set to be even better and more magical for 2012....
