Classes are taught by Alex Reed, an experienced British Wheel of Yoga teacher based in Wimbledon, South London. Morning classes will be asana based, exploring traditional yoga postures through modern techniques such as flowing sequences and more subtle approaches based on the work of Vanda Scaravelli. Evening classes will be more relaxed including: breath work, meditation, yoga nidra, restorative / YIN yoga and partner work.
The centre is an ex-water mill with fresh mountain water bubbling through it's pretty gardens. The owners, Anthony and Lydiya have transformed it into a haven for relaxation. There are two yoga spaces, an indoor studio carved into the rocks offering a cool sanctuary when it's too hot outside and an outdoor terrace overlooking the mountains.
Each bedroom is hand painted with beautiful patterns, furnished with a comfortable bed and private bathroom. There is an outdoor pool set into the rocks and a system of caves, gently lit and furnished with cushions for silent meditation. The whole place is filled with nooks and crannies where you can hide away with a good book for an afternoon of undisturbed relaxation.
MALAGA (Approx 2.5 hrs flying time from London)
We will aim to share a taxi from the airport to the centre to make it easy and affordable.
You may prefer to hire a car, so you can visit some of the local towns such as Rhonda or enjoy the local horse riding - a gentle walk through spectacular scenery.
This is a truly special retreat and I look forward to welcoming you soon.......for more information contact email@example.com or book directly though Chillout Retreats.
"Molina del Rey is a fabulous place for a yoga retreat set in the stunning Spanish countryside. As you stand on the terrace in Mountain pose you look out onto beautiful mountains! The vegetarian food is amazing - you are never served the same salad twice - and there is wine available too. Alex leads twice daily sessions focusing on different aspects of yoga and these are a great chance to improve your yoga and understanding of the practice. The beautiful caves are a perfect place for meditation following yoga or during relaxation time.
The retreat offers plenty of time to swim, sunbathe or read for a few hours. There are lots of corners to hide away in the sun or shade too. I had a great time with my daughter and we are looking forward to another lovely week in June".
